Disney Q1 profit falls but Disney+ hits 95 million subscribers

Disney’s profit fell but beat expectations in the first quarter of the current fiscal year due to a surge in Disney+ subscriptions – its streaming service. Disney+, which added more than 21 million new subscribers, now has 95 million subscribers in total. The company reported a Q1 profit of $17 million (2 cents a share) on sales of $16.25 billion – up from $15.8 billion in previous Q1.
