International Court elects Briton as new prosecutor

The International Criminal Court’s 131 member states elected 50 year old Karim Khan of Britain as the new chief prosecutor. He will replace Fatou Bensouda from the Gambia, and starts his nine-year term facing a daunting task trying to secure more convictions and spread acceptance of the court’s jurisdiction across the globe. He secured support from 72 nations, 10 more than what was needed.

Karim Khan, not a very british name. I do not know about this man, nor this organization, except that it is supposed to be a international body. He may very well be the very essence of a brit, probably even a immigrant from one of the old british dominions. Karim Khan is still not a very british name. So much so, that I would even wonder why they even bothered to name his nationality, does not seem to matter here.
