7.1 magnitude earthquake strikes off the coast in Japan

The Japan Meteorological Agency reported a magnitude 7.1 earthquake which struck the northeastern coast near Fukushima. The agency further said that a tsunami warning has not been issued. The earthquake was off the coast of Fukushima prefecture with a depth of 60km (36 miles). Those near coastal areas have been advised by authorities to move to higher ground.
