UK COVID-19 variant spreading in the US may be up to 70% deadlier: Study

A British study has concluded that the COVID-19 variant that originated in the UK and is now spreading in the US may be up to 70 percent deadlier than previous versions of the bug. Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister of UK had also earlier tweeted that it ’may also be associated with a higher degree of mortality.’ The highly transmissible variant has spread to more than 80 countries.

Like the Spanish flu. If the virus did originate in bats then that means the original strain isn’t used to infecting human hosts but after awhile it will mutate to become better at infecting humans. Watch Extra History’s series on the Spanish Flu also for those who think “BIASED!” Well the series is pre Covid 19 by a long while.
