French assembly approves bill to battle ’Islamist separatism’

France’s lower house of parliament voted in favor of a new law to fight ’Islamist separatism.’ The draft legislation has been criticized for stigmatizing Muslims and giving the state new powers to limit speech and religious groups. The text will now be submitted to the upper house Senate. Among the articles, the law expands the ability of the state to close places of worship and religious schools.

Good. Problematic and toxic role models of history such as slave owning and human trafficking prophets don't have any place in modern civilized society, let alone allowing a cult of worship of them to continue without heavy deradicalization and regulation so members of it don't get the ideas to mimic their cult figure's evil deeds. France needs to disarm the toxic masculinity of the Quran since Muslims refuse to do it themselves, or they can go back to the Middle East. The fact that France is tolerating them still after the first war of aggression historically was started by Muslims against France via Spain and not vice versa, is already extremely tolerant.

Laicite is French secularism - it means freedom from religion. It's one of the founding principles of the Republic to allow individuals to be free and equal. It states religion is a private endeavour and should be practiced as such, keeping it seperate not just from the state but from all public life - and it has done wonders for France (the same way that secular countries see huge drops in crime and develop financial stability and varied economies on average). This still allows places of worship to exist and clothes to be worn but not for that to be brought into wider French society - and why should the newest Juado-Christian cult be allowed to tear down progress again?
