Myanmar junta orders fresh internet shutdown as protests show no sign of ebbing

Myanmar’s military junta has ordered the shutting down of internet after briefly restoring it as protests against the regime continued in many cities across the country. The regime has also filed fresh charges against the deposed democratically elected leader Aung San Suu Kyi. Meanwhile, a spokesman for the junta held a news conference and said the regime ’guarantees’ an election would be held.
