Columns of ash were sent rising more than 3,000ft into the air after Mount Etna in Italy erupted late on Tuesday afternoon. Officials in Sicily closed the Catania airport after small stones and dirt rained from the sky. Emergency services in the nearby villages of Linguaglossa, Fornazzo, and Milo were on alert. Residents in the region woke up to black ash covering the streets and the cars.
Let’s hope this isn’t Pompei 2 electric boogaloo.
Some amazing wine from Etna in my cellar just doubled in value.
