Women invited to sit in meetings by Japanese leaders, but not allowed to talk

A proposal has been made by the leaders of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party to allow five female lawmakers to attend its all-male board meetings. The decision came after the Olympics Chief of Japan sparked a controversy due to his sexist comments. Even though female lawmakers have been allowed to attend the meetings, they are forbidden from talking during the decision making sessions.
