A senior civil servant is suing the British Govt. for sex and race discrimination because a black female colleague is paid more than he. Matthew Parr, an HM inspector of constabulary, makes an annual salary of over $185,000 and an $11,000 living allowance. After taking the job, Parr found out that a colleague, Wendy Williams, was getting paid $257,500. Home Secretary Patel denied discrimination.
The usual factors apply here... how many hours did they both work, and are they working the same job? If those two are the same (or at least similar for the hours) then he might have a case.
