3 charged in George Floyd killing want charges dismissed after plea-deal leak

The legal teams representing three of the four former Minneapolis cops charged in George Floyd’s death filed a series of motions this week seeking to have the cases dismissed. The teams representing Tou Thao, J. Alexander Kueng and Thomas Lane accuse prosecutors of leaking information about plea deal negotiations to the press. The motion alleges ’prosecutorial misconduct.’

Considering some of the shenanigans that the prosecution has already pulled in this case, I would not be shocked if they did leak the information. Of course, the defense still needs to prove the accusation.
