Dolly Parton asks Tennessee to not put up a statue of her

Dolly Parton has pushed back on a petitioned bill to erect a monument of her in her home state of Tennessee. John Mark Windle, a state representative had introduced the legislation regarding the same, after more than 25,000 people signed a petition to replace a confederate statue with her likeness. While she said she was ’humbled’ by the offer, she added that the idea did not seem ’appropriate’.

They would have trouble with it being too top-heavy? :-)

Why would she want a statue, the left would just find something to hate about it.

I love this woman! Free books, a theme park, yuge (tracts of land) and on top of that she is humble. Oh me oh my you won't find a shinier gem in all of India.
