San Antonio apartments catch fire in winter storm, frozen hydrant hamper firemen

An apartment complex in San Antonio’s Stone Oak area was engulfed in fire from a suspected water tank explosion amid the deadly winter storm. Officials said all 130 residents were evacuated safely. However, firemen couldn’t save a building, which collapsed, as the hydrants they brought with them froze. They had to use water tankers to bring thousands of gallons of water to extinguish the fire.
