UN demands ’proof of life’ from UAE for incarcerated princess
The UN human rights office said it has asked the United Arab Emirates for evidence that the Princess Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Maktoum, the daughter of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, is still alive. Latifa has been held against her will for almost three years. In a recent clandestinely taken video, which was obtained by BBC, she was seen desperately seeking help.
