Violence in Spanish cities over rapper’s jailing

Protests in support of jailed Catalan rapper Pablo Hasél have descended into violence. Hasél was jailed for tweets insulting police and the Spanish monarchy. Thousands of protesters in Madrid and Barcelona clashed with police carrying batons and shields. Dozens have been arrested. Hasél faces nine months in prison on a charge of glorifying terrorism and slandering the crown.

Watch the movie "The Social Dilemma" and it explains how social media is affecting society and tearing it apart.

That's not why he was arrested, he was promoting terrorist violence. He should be locked up. I guess if he misgendered someone they would have just shot him on the spoy, so swings and round abouts.

Spain has a monarchy? I thought their monarchy died with the civil war and the Hapsburgs? I guess I'm going to Google some history.

There is a difference between freedom of speech and a call to violence that rappers are immune to... It's almost like a double standard

it just goes to show that people around the world are tired of censorship. We are not going to tow the party line anymore. We are done having our lives ruined by big tech and big media. One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.. Don't forget it.

Yeah, sorry but taking stance supporting terrorist groups who murder people is iffy at best in the US, and Spain doesn't do freedom of speech. https://www.france24.com/en/live-news/20210216-spain-s-pablo-hasel-incendiary-rapper-jailed-for-tweets
