According to new research conducted by the University of Cambridge, people with extremist views tend to perform poorly on complex mental tasks. Researchers sought to evaluate if cognitive disposition sculpt ideological world-views such as political, nationalistic and dogmatic beliefs. Overall, researchers found that ideological attitudes mirrored cognitive decision-making.

Perhaps it is the other way around. Where people who have issues with complex tasks are more likely to have an extreme perception of the world.

Also, why was only extreme conservatism mentioned, not extreme liberalism. Iâd say people with questioning minds are less likely to fall for this attempt to discredit them. Those who passively aquire knowledge and relinquish their due diligence to others are more likely to accept the programming within.

When you read this understand there is a hidden agenda. Cambridge has become an extremely leftist place. Recently they declared, for example, that Churchill was worse than Hitler. Thus they see no extremism on the left. Only on the right. Further they see that any serious conservatism is âextremeâ. Idk what they consider extremists, but its all relative to the popular position. I haven't seen their paper but maybe they can have a peer review that looks at people who refuse to budge from their political opinions instead.

Well... Itâs known that a population with an average IQ of less than 90 has problems with maintaining democratic rule... It seems like the concept of giving those you disagree with rights that might hinder their own possibilities to exert power only develops with population of higher cognitive abilities... What makes something âextremistâ? This is a question I never seem to find an answer to. Itâs such a silly modifier. All these are. âFarâ right. âExtremeâ right. What do they even mean? Is there something past âextremeâ? Artery-popping? Intense? These words defy all definition.
Lots of us could have told you this by experience alone. The people that can't act like normal adults, being susceptible to social and mainstream media to form their opinions without even recognizing the control being used on them ... yeah.
