According to new research conducted by the University of Cambridge, people with extremist views tend to perform poorly on complex mental tasks. Researchers sought to evaluate if cognitive disposition sculpt ideological world-views such as political, nationalistic and dogmatic beliefs. Overall, researchers found that ideological attitudes mirrored cognitive decision-making.
See antifa for a full array of cognitive issues.
Perhaps it is the other way around. Where people who have issues with complex tasks are more likely to have an extreme perception of the world.
Hahahahahađđ€Łđ not a single comment by the «usual suspects» on this app. They knows...
âItâs fascinating, because conservatism is almost a synonym for caution,â she said. âWeâre seeing that â at the very basic neuropsychological level â individuals who are politically conservative ⊠simply treat every stimuli that they encounter with caution.â
Did they not mention how political polarity in the US has jumped immensely in the past decade, due to social media.... So what is it exactly, that's affecting these "extremists'" brains? Also, why was only extreme conservatism mentioned, not extreme liberalism. The article was hardly interesting or useful, unless you're just looking to create more polarity, pitting "liberals" against "conservatives."
Antifa and BLM make sense now. They simply repeat and regurgitate the info they get from mentors and in PDF manuals.
Iâd say people with questioning minds are less likely to fall for this attempt to discredit them. Those who passively aquire knowledge and relinquish their due diligence to others are more likely to accept the programming within.
Sure because you can only perform complex tasks and criticality think if you hold my beliefs and thoughts as true said the left.
When you read this understand there is a hidden agenda. Cambridge has become an extremely leftist place. Recently they declared, for example, that Churchill was worse than Hitler. Thus they see no extremism on the left. Only on the right. Further they see that any serious conservatism is âextremeâ. And thus to the underlying objective of the research: right wing people are stupid. And since all leftist are not extremists, they are not stupid.
Thatâs why all of the traitors who stormed the Capitol looked like the were mentally challenged.
Well, duh... have you seen the comments on this app? You cannot have a civil disagreement on this app unless youâre commenting on a story that the rads donât care about (or like this one, are possibly just smart enough not to)
Scary thing is how much of our political and corporate leadership is political extremists.
Idk what they consider extremists, but its all relative to the popular position. I haven't seen their paper but maybe they can have a peer review that looks at people who refuse to budge from their political opinions instead.
Very much a ''no shit'' type situation, but I guess someeone has to put it on paper officially. Who would've thought that an individual who is more ''simple'' can be manipulated far more easily? Who could have predicted that such people use their emotions more than some logical process to come up with ideas?
Simple truth are often false... but it takes some mental processing to understand that... Example... the abortion debate
There's literally nothing extreme about nationalism. Indeed it is the normal state of most of the world.
Well... Itâs known that a population with an average IQ of less than 90 has problems with maintaining democratic rule... It seems like the concept of giving those you disagree with rights that might hinder their own possibilities to exert power only develops with population of higher cognitive abilities... Extremism isnât a complex issue, itâs ONE WAY and thatâs it... Not much to ponder about....
.
What makes something âextremistâ? This is a question I never seem to find an answer to. Itâs such a silly modifier. All these are. âFarâ right. âExtremeâ right. What do they even mean? Is there something past âextremeâ? Artery-popping? Intense? These words defy all definition.
Lots of us could have told you this by experience alone. The people that can't act like normal adults, being susceptible to social and mainstream media to form their opinions without even recognizing the control being used on them ... yeah. It's super woke. Don't stay in school. That's where you learned nonsense from people that never left the university.
