California’s net neutrality law will soon be allowed to go into effect after a federal judge said Tuesday he won’t block the law. The state adopted the new rules in 2018 after a Republican-led FCC in 2017 repealed federal rules that had been established under President Obama. State Sen. Weiner, who authored the original bill, celebrated the ruling on Twitter as a ’major win for net neutrality.’
Yay! Allowing a more fair and equal internet is the right thing in a country that boasts about it’s freedoms. This is the right choice, now it is time for other states to follow suit to prevent big business from deciding what we see and how quickly we can see it.
I read the articles but I’m still not fully understanding the pros and cons of this ruling. Any link to actual law in laymen’s terms?
But, we have bet neutrality through the FCC. Just because there is no "net neutrality law" doesn't mean it isn't. Everytime companies do stupid stuff they have been sued. That's like like saying there's no patriotism without the patriot act.
I can't wait to see how this ends up 🤣🤣🤣
Hoping Biden FCC will revert to net neutrality!
California is like Canada, except with tons of homeless people, and nicer weather.
This should be for the whole country.

“The internet is at the heart of modern life. We all should be able to decide for ourselves where we go on the internet and how we access information. We cannot allow big corporations to make those decisions for us,” Scott Wiener. So the same party that says this, is 100% ok with amazon taking parker down, 100% ok sending threatening letters to cable providers to shut down fox news and oan. The double standards never stop
