Space enthusiasts crack secret binary message on NASA’s Mars parachute

The huge parachute that NASA’s Perseverance rover used to land on Mars had a secret message in binary code, which a systems engineer, Ian Clark, wrote in orange and white stripes. It just took a few hours for space fans to decipher the message – ’Dare Mighty Things’ – in the 70-foot parachute. It is a line from former President Theodore Roosevelt and the motto of NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
