Victory has been claimed by the antitrust chief in Australia in the news battle with Facebook. News pages were blocked by Facebook in Australia on the 17th of February. Five days later, Facebook cut a deal with the government and lifted the ban. Chairman of the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, Rod Sims said he was pleased looking at the progress of the amended legislation.
