Auckland pushed into seven-day lockdown due to new COVID case of unknown origin

New Zealand’s prime minister, Jacinda Ardern, announced that Auckland, the country’s biggest city, will be under a seven-day lockdown starting early Sunday morning. This decision came after a new local COVID-19 case of unknown origin was registered. Officials reported that the patient showed symptoms on Tuesday and became potentially infectious since Sunday.
