Michigan’s Ferris State University fires professor for racist, homophobic tweets

Ferris State University physics professor Thomas Brennan has been sacked after he tweeted racist, anti-Semitic and homophobic remarks in 2020. His posts included a racial slur about scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson, a homophobic slur, Covid-19 being a ’(J)ewish revolution.’ Brennan tried to defend his tweets with a range of reasons, including ’personal crisis involving extremely painful migraines.’
