Australian PM Morrison on Monday defended a Cabinet minister against calls for him to step down over an allegation that he raped a teen in 1988. The allegation was contained in an anonymous letter sent to Morrison’s office last week. Morrison said the minister ’vigorously and completely denied the allegations.’ He added that ’mere making of an allegation’ cannot be grounds ’to stand people down.’
