Poland activists who put LGBT rainbow on Roman Catholic icon acquitted

A court in Poland acquitted three activists accused of desecration and offending religious feelings for adding the LGBT rainbow to images of the Virgin Mary and baby Jesus. The three women created the posters in 2019, protesting what they considered the hostility of Poland’s influential Catholic Church toward LGBT people. The court ruled that the city of Plock did not find any signs of a crime.

As long as it's not done by defacing church property I don't really see a problem with it, though these are the same people that will cancel you for "beep bop boop" sooo. Can guarantee if people did the opposite the guardian would be calling for their execution

Terrible precedent. Poland should avoid the same fate that befell the West and protect Christianity from progressive attacks.

The rainbow image is originally a catholic symbol to begin with!😂🤣😂 Using the rainbow in religious imagery is not offensive at all to christians.

Great! Now draw a picture of Mohammed and see if you can add some LGBT nonsense to it. No don’t, you know what will happen.

While I am no fan of the alphabet people, they have the right to protest and they should have as much right to offend me as I have to offend them. To paraphrase the old discarded liberal saying, I may not agree with what you are saying but I will fight for your right to say it. The court made the right decision here. Speech should not be punished just because it offends some or most people.

As a Catholic it's interesting to say the least, though personally what the LGBTQ community does is not my concern. Just don't take it to a complete different level like other groups do.

Freedom of speech winns! Religious snowflakes should just mind their own business, if it isn’t targeting attacks on people it is free speech.

Truly a shame that they were acquitted, but if they didn’t commit a crime, then it is for the lawmakers to fix it rather than the court.
