Eligibility for stimulus checks in $1.9T COVID bill limited by Senate Democrats
Moderate Senate Democrats and President Joe Biden have reportedly struck a deal to limit eligibility for direct stimulus checks to Americans. The deal has lowered the income level for those who would qualify for payments. Mr. Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief bill will be taken up by the Senate as early as Wednesday. The bill is not expected to attract any Republican votes.
