Lori Lightfoot, Chicago’s mayor, and David Brown, the city’s police chief, outlined new rules to prevent a repeat of botched raid at the home of social worker Anjanette Young. Now, there would be a ban on all no-knock warrants except in cases where lives or safety are in danger. In February 2019, cops wrongly raided Young’s house, handcuffed her naked and ignored her pleas. It triggered an outcry.
It's been such a long time since this was reported, much more since it happened. Going to actually do something, Lightfoot? What the hell?
