Texas’ power grid CEO fired after deadly February blackouts

Texas’ power grid CEO has been fired after the deadly February blackouts that left millions without electricity and heat for days. Bill Magness, CEO of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), is the second senior official to depart in the wake of the one of the blackout. Chairwoman DeAnn Walker resigned recently. At least six ERCOT board members have also stepped down in the aftermath.

How's all that deregulation Texas? I'm just sooo shocked that the big corporations decided customer deaths were more cost effective than winterizing.

What is a two month termination notice? The reason security walks someone out the door upon termination is to try to prevent people from doing something nefarious on their way out. You mean he has 2 months to enact payback before he leaves? How can they be sure that he will do his job effectively during this time?
