Third-party data security breach hits Singapore Airlines’ frequent flyer members

A cyber-security attack has resulted in the data of 580,000 frequent flyer members of Singapore Airlines to get compromised. SITA, an air transport communications and IT vendor, was originally hit with the attack. A data breach has been reported by an airline for the second time within a week. A ’restricted’ set of data had been shared by the airlines with SITA according to a statement.
