Hit by shortage, Italy has blocked 250,000 doses of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine from being exported to Australia. This comes on the back of the European Union’s threats to stop vaccine exports as the 27-nation bloc is struggling to inoculate its population due to shortages. Australia has asked the EU to review its decision while stressing that it won’t affect its vaccination drive.
