Mark Pavelich, ’Miracle on Ice’ team star, dead at age 63

Mark Pavelich, who played on the ’Miracle on Ice’ Olympic hockey team, was found dead at a treatment center for mental illness, at the age of 63. The manner of death and the cause are currently pending. He was undergoing treatment at the home as part of a civil commitment for assaulting his neighbor in August 2019, in Cook County, Minnesota. Pavelich thought his neighbor had spiked his beer.
