Stop using name for fundraising, Trump tells GOP

Stop using name for fundraising, Trump tells GOP

Republican Party organs have been asked by Donald Trump to stop using his name and likeness for fundraising and merchandise sales. Cease-and-desist letters were sent by lawyers representing Mr. Trump to the largest fundraising bodies for the Republican Party. The move came the day two emails were sent by the RNC to supporters, looking for donations in the form of a thank-you card to Trump.

President Trump is very wise to do this. I'm sure he only wants his name associated with candidates he endorses. Not RINO's that the RNC/GOP will endorse.

They can't stop using his name and influence or they won't win any more elections. Trump might as well be god to these people. It's truly a cult. You'll never change their mind, they only believe what they want to believe. I'll agree on one thing tho, Biden is out of his mind if he thinks unity is an option. Both sides are ready and willing to hurt each other. And I'm not about to "come together" with a bunch of insurrectionists and traitors.

They didn't support him when they had the chance, this is grifting. Why give the establishment more money. Let mcconnell, go fist bump some democrats establishment types.

This is an odd turn. Whatever will the Repubs do without their crutch?? Guess it means trump will continue the grift from his elderly and poor supporters.

If the Republicans want to win, they need to return to the platform that has always drawn Republican supporters (low taxes, smaller government, strong 2A, strong economy, family values) and find candidates that actually intend to follow through on that platform. Unfortunately, they've only talked about it while assisting the Democrats in the destruction of our nation. Trump was a protest, but he wasn't the solution.

Nah, trump gave his likeness to the party. He DEMANDED that he be the face of the party. Trump is no longer a person, not when golden idols are made in his image. He is now an icon.

Something like this should happen with black lives matter since they amassed around $20 mil and not one cent went to helping actual people in need.

Yes the a-hole needs all the money that his de-mented supporters want to give him to pay for all his lawsuits covering all the crimes he committed in the past 65 years... he is lucky there is a limit to how far back they can go when prosecuting him. And no he doesn’t care one bit for all the lo-sers giving him money... they just like skinny cows he will milk until they die....

Trump’s latest money grab scheme. Nothing more nothing less. He’s Nothing more than a big government, big spending progressive.

He is very wise to do this. He wants all money raised in his likeness to go to him. Similar to the protect the steal. Almost all those millions went to him for whatever he wanted. Now he likes having his own piggy bank and if everyone does it there won’t be as much left for him.
