Pope Francis to host Sunday Mass in Irbil, Iraq with 10k attendees.

On the third day of Pope Francis’ historic trip to Iraq, the pontiff visited parts of northwestern Iraq that were seized by Islamic State (IS) militants in 2014. Till its defeat in 2017, IS targeted Christians amongst other minorities. Pope Francis is expected to host a Mass on Sunday at a football stadium in Irbil, with an expected audience of 10,000.
