Swiss ’burka ban’ accepted

Swiss voters on Sunday narrowly backed a ban on full facial coverings in public places. Final results showed, 51.2 per cent of voters were in favor of outlawing the burqa and the niqab. Turnout was just over 50%, a little above average for the country. Switzerland now joins five other European countries to ban such garments, ensuring nobody could cover their face completely in public.

I'm of the opinion that it should not be required because of religion, AND it should not be banned by law. Nor should it be protected by law, if you don't like articles of clothing on your private property, you should be able to ask people to leave. Be it pants or head scarves.
