Biden commemorates ’Bloody Sunday’ by signing executive order on voting rights

On the 56th anniversary of ’Bloody Sunday,’ President Joe Biden signed an executive order towards promotion of voting access. Currently, Democrats are pressing for a sweeping voting law to counter for wider voting access. ’Bloody Sunday’ is named after 1965 incident, in which state troopers mercilessly beat some 600 civil rights activists as they tried to march for voting rights in Selma, Alabama.
