International Women’s Day observed around the world

The world is observing International Women’s Day today in celebration of womanhood. Events are being held in several countries, despite the pandemic, although a majority of the events are held virtually. The theme of this year’s IWD is ’Choose to Challenge.’ Many social media users are posting their selfies with one hand in the air with a caption of the cause they are championing for equality.

Hopefully women in Western countries will pay some attention and think twice before complaining about how oppressed they are for having to pay for their own tampons or college education.

I observed that Google changed its artwork for the day...does that count as observing international women's day?

I let my woman have the day off, now she has to work twice as hard to catch up with her jobs.

Was wondering how many sexist guys I would find commenting and wasn’t surprised by some of the names here.

Where I live the TV spent the weekend moaning about past sexism instead of a celebration of being female.

King, Warrior, Magician, Lover: Rediscovering the Archetypes of the Mature Masculine by Robert Moore and Doug Gillette. Hey brothers, just wanted to pass this book along to any of you that are curious as to why something like Woman’s Day might irk you. Carl Jung came to understand these archetypal energies 100 years ago and we all enjoy Joseph Campbell’s work as well (the Hero’s Journey is the foundation of all modern story telling). Unfortunately rites of passage have left our society without clear break (or death) in juvenile psychology leading to many growing old, but not developing into a man with mature masculine psychology. Check it out!
