In Iraq, Pope Francis calls upon country’s Christians to forgive and rebuild

In his high-profile Iraq tour, Pope Francis, the leader of the Roman Catholics, called upon the country’s Christians to forgive the radical Islamists of the atrocities they committed against them and called upon to rebuild their community. On Sunday, the pope met ecstatic crowds in the Christian heartland in Nineveh Plains, which was all but destroyed by the Islamic State’s horrific reign.

It's easy to tell persecuted Christians in the middle East to forgive when you are living in a safe European country. Maybe he should try living there to see how forgiving he is.

He's clueless as usual. Why should we forgive terrorists when they haven't even apologized but are instead continuing their terror.

More evidence of heresy in the church: Only God may judge, only God may grant forgiveness. Don't Believe me? See the book of John, verses 3:36 and 8:24. Redemption and forgiveness are purely under God's discretion, and is generally reserved for the faithful. The protestants were right about the Catholic Church, and I am tired of pretending otherwise.
