European Banking Authority hit by Microsoft Exchange hack

Hackers gained access to the email servers of the EU’s banking regulator, European Banking Authority, by using the same Microsoft Exchange hack that they used to gain access to emails of several US corporations. The EBA said personal data may have been accessed. It also said the extent of the hack is being assessed. Last week, US officials had warned that the attack remained an ’active threat.’
