Derick Almena, the master tenant of a San Francisco Bay Area warehouse that caught fire killing 36 people, has been sentenced to 12 years in jail. Almena, 50, pleaded guilty to 36 counts of involuntary manslaughter in exchange for a 12-year sentence for the December 2, 2016 incident. However, he won’t spend more time in jail. Instead, he was ordered to serve the rest of his term under monitoring.
What the actual F...? HE KILLED 36 PEOPLE! And he doesn't even get 1 year for each person? That is messed up. My sympathies to the relatives/friends, etc. of the tenants that perished.
Isn't that what we've all been doing lately?
Is this restorative justice?
Well, that's some BS. Leave it to CA to the guy spend 12yrs at home for burning 36 ppl alive.
