Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds on Monday signed into law a GOP-backed bill that makes it harder to vote early. Republicans in the House and Senate quickly approved the voting changes over the opposition of all Democratic legislators. Reynolds claimed the law provides election officials with consistent parameters for Election Day, absentee voting and database maintenance, to ensure election integrity.
Can't have all that access to voting or else GOP will never win. Gotta keep that peer pressure from dead people, gotta keep voting in the middle of the work week.
Just once it would be nice if the GOP passed a law that helped more Americans vote instead of limiting access. I'd ask what are they afraid of but everyone knows.
I see no issue with most of these changes, though the bit about shifting poll closing times from 9pm to 8pm and removing people from voting rolls after missing one general election cycle seems a little over the top.
Voting is a right and not a privilege.
Cheating cheaters who call everybody else cheaters.
I'm going to take your right to vote if you miss one election and call myself a patriot
Well, if you can’t win on policy, then cheat. They need to make elections a national holiday, and pull federal funds for states that close polling places in highly populated areas.
