In Myanmar, Suu Kyi’s party official dies in custody, junta cracks down on media
An official from ousted Myanmar leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s NLD party became the second man from the party to have died in custody in two days. Meanwhile, the military coup leaders of the country have cracked down on independent media outlets. They raided the offices of two news outlets and detained two journalists. Over 1,900 people have been arrested across Myanmar since the February 1 coup.
