Myanmar junta expands crackdown, orders raids on striking railway workers

Myanmar’s junta have expanded their crackdown on protesters opposing the toppling of Aung San Suu Kyi’s civilian government. In a fresh crackdown, security forces raided a neighborhood in Yangon that houses railway workers who have gone on strike to protest against the February 1 coup. Images posted on social media showed armed policemen blocking streets to stop people from entering or escaping.
