Facebook launches Instagram Lite with lower bandwidth in 170 countries

A ’lite’ version of Instagram has been launched in 170 countries. With this version, people with poor internet will be enabled to access the social networking service in order to share photos and videos. Less bandwidth will be required than the traditional version with it being made available for Android-based phones. Only 2MB will be required by the app instead of the 30MB for Instagram.
