US Senate confirms Merrick Garland as country’s attorney general

The Senate voted 70–30 to confirm Merrick Garland as US attorney general. Garland, who has been a longtime federal judge and former President Barack Obama’s Supreme Court pick will now head an agency that is key to President Joe Biden’s domestic policy agenda. As the new boss of the Department of Justice, Garland said the probe into January 6 riot at the US Capitol will be his top priority.

That is sad. Garland's confirmation hearling was a joke. The country is going to see some ultra-partisan legal BS in the coming years.

Why would the Senate confirm him after rejecting him for SCOTUS? Now he's AG?! Ffs he's going to seek revenge, how stupid can they be?

The senate never rejected him for SCOTUS, they never provided him the opportunity to be rejected.
