A Queens Supreme Court judge overturned the convictions for three men who spent 24 in prison on charges of killing an off-duty NYPD policeman and a business owner in 1996. This comes after it was revealed that prosecutors withheld key evidence during trial. George Bell, 44; Rohan Bolt, 59; and Gary Johnson, 46, were convicted in separate trials and sentenced to between 50 years and life in prison.
So instead of just "admonishing" the prosecutors for deliberately withholding evidence, they should start serving 24 year sentences. Fair is fair.
