Outcry over safety of women on London streets prompted by woman’s disappearance
Stories have been shared online regarding harassment and fear in public spaces by thousands of women across Britain after a woman went missing in London last week. The incident resulted in the arrest of a police officer in connection with the case. Authorities were urged by a number of women asking to make the streets of the city safer as well as addressing concerns regarding gender violence.
