A Michigan man is suing Hertz for failing to produce in a timely manner a receipt that would have proved his innocence long before he was convicted of murder. The evidence was finally obtained in 2018, leading to Herbert Alford’s exoneration. Alford was convicted of second-degree murder in 2016. The receipt showed Alford was renting a car at a Lansing-area airport at the time of the killing.
suing Hertz won't work - company can declare bankruptcy - better to sue the prosecuting jurisdiction - heck if a dead felon like Flyod can generate $27 million off the tax payers' backs, then this guy should collect
Good, I hope he wins.
Take em for everything they got. 2 years gone forever
This man will be a leader on this topic! God Chose Him!!!!
And prosecutors also had his cell phone records showing he was at the airport but "forgot" to disclose that evidence...
