Announcer uses racial slur against girls’ basketball team, blames diabetes
An announcer for a live stream of an Oklahoma girls’ high school basketball game cursed and called one team by a racial epithet as the players knelt during the national anthem. The incident occurred on Thursday before the Norman High School-Midwest City quarter-final game. Matt Rowan, owner of OSPN, revealed that he was the speaker and suggested his diabetes was to blame for the episode.
Serious question why is female crossed out? Wouldn't it be a good idea to highlight that the players are all women? Shouldn't we be celebrating their athleticism and dedication? I think it's all very confusing.
Didn’t know a side effect of diabetes was using racist language. Check y’all pill bottles everyone...foolishness.
I don't know about this. I have worked with people with Diabetes and they have said some strange things when they have changes in their blood glucose levels but it is typically when the blood sugar drops not spikes. I guess it could but it seems unlikely.
