The trial of ex-cop Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis has entered the second week Monday with jury selection still on. So far, 7 jurors have been selected out of 12 jurors and 2 alternatives. Judge Peter Cahill is presiding over the trial that is taking place in the Hennepin County District Court. Chauvin is facing second- and third-degree murder charges into the death of George Floyd, 47, in May 2020.
All I can think is how insane it must be to be picked for this jury. Theres a lot of division on this case, and it’s going to be a long and publicized trial. Probably very stressful to be in this position
I know I would hate to be picked.
