The Senate is set to confirm Representative Deb Haaland, (D-New Mexico) as President Joe Biden’s secretary of the Department of the Interior. Haaland, 60, who is a member of the Laguna Pueblo tribe, is expected to get support from the Republican senators. After the Senate vote, she would be the first Native American in the history of America to hold a cabinet spot in the White House.
