’Major steps’ taken towards autonomous driving by BMW

BMW has taken major steps towards autonomous driving with the eighth version of iDrive. In this version, a new ’curved’ display will mostly be seen which will start behind the steering wheel and extend halfway across the dashboard. With this, the 12.3-inch instrument cluster and central 14.9-inch infotainment screen will be merged into a single unit, which will be angled towards the driver.
