American LGBTQ Catholics call Vatican’s rebuff of same-sex unions ’tragic’
After the Vatican declared same-sex unions are a sin and is against Roman Catholic Church’s beliefs, LGBTQ Catholics in the US have reacted sharply. DignityUSA’s Marianne Duddy-Burke said the failure of the Holy See to recognize same-sex unions and bless homosexual couples is ’just tragic.’ Ross Murray of LGBTQ rights group GLAAD said Vatican’s statement ’kind of brings us back to zero.’
