IAEA expresses optimism over Iran nuclear deal revival

Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said the United States’ return to the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran is possible, but both sides must agree to negotiate. Former US President Donald Trump pulled the US out of the deal – Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action – unilaterally in 2018. However, President Joe Biden has indicated that the US would be willing to rejoin.
